Đánh giá VPS của OVH ở Singapore - Liệu có địch nổi Vultr, Linode

OVH là một trong những công ty cung cấp dịch vụ máy chủ, VPS lớn nhất thế giới hiện nay (chính xác là lớn nhât Châu Âu). Trước đây mình đã từng dùng VPS của OVH với cụm máy chủ ở Pháp và cảm thấy rất hài lòng với chi phí bỏ ra: $3.49/tháng cho VPS 2GB RAM. Các bạn có thể xem lại đánh giá dưới đây:

Mới đây, OVH vừa mới ra mắt dịch vụ VPS ở Singapore hứa hẹn cho tốc độ kết nối về Việt Nam nhanh và ổn định hơn. Mình đã đặt hàng thử 1 em VPS gói thấp nhất (1GB RAM) để kiểm tra chất lượng ra sao.

Liệu VPS của OVH có ngang tầm với các ông lớn vốn đang nắm thị phần lớn ở khu vực Đông Nam Á hiện nay: Linode, Vultr không? Tham khảo bài đánh giá nhanh bên dưới nha.

Trong bài đánh giá này mình sẽ so sánh 5 VPS khác nhau ở cùng mức giá $5/tháng của OVH, Linode và Vultr. Tất cả đều được trang bị 1GB RAM như nhau

Đánh giá

VPS ở Singapore của OVH cho tốc độ Ping về tp.HCM tốt nhất, tương đương với ping các website trong nước. Ping từ các VPS ở Singapore thấp hơn so với VPS từ Tokyo (do khoảng cách địa lý gần hơn)

Đánh giá

Về I/O, tốc độ SSD, Vultr và Linode đều có sức mạnh vượt trội so với VPS của OVH. Kết quả Fio test của OVH thậm chí chưa đạt 1/10 so với Vultr và Linode.

Về tốc độ mạng, VPS của OVH do bị giới hạn tốc độ 100Mbps nên các con số không ấn tượng bằng kết quả của Vultr và Linode (port speed 1Gbps). Nhìn chung, tốc độ mạng của OVH Singapore khá đồng đều, chỉ trừ kết nối đến Linode (Tokyo) và Viettel Đà Nẵng có vấn đề (597KB/s).

Linode (Tokyo) cũng có kết nối không tốt đến Viettel Đà Nẵng (194KB/s), còn Linode (Singapore) lại gặp vấn đề với FPT HCM (919KB/s). Có lẽ do trục trặc mạng ở VN!

VPS của Vultr cho tốc độ mạng ổn định và đồng đều nhất trong số 3 nhà cung cấp.

C. Benchmark tốc độ CPU

Mình dùng script dưới đây để kiểm tra tốc độ CPU qua Bzip 25MB file (thời gian càng ngắn càng tốt)

Đánh giá

CPU của OVH (Singapore) xử lý tác vụ Bzip với thời gian ngắn nhất có lẽ nhờ được trang bị CPU mới nhất: Intel Xeon E3-1245v5 có xung nhịp cao nhất - 3.5Ghz (chi tiết).

D. Tính năng DDoS và IP

Ưu điểm của OVH so với Vultr và Linode là tính năng anti-DDoS protection miễn phí dành cho tất cả các gói VPS ở Singapore. Trong khi đó, Vultr tính phí $10/tháng, nhưng không áp dụng cho Singapore và Tokyo. Còn Linode không có tính năng này.

OVH còn cho phép thêm tối đa 16 IP mỗi VPS với giá cực rẻ ($2.8/IP, tính phí một lần duy nhất), quá tuyệt cho các bạn làm site vệ tinh chạy SEO. Vultr và Linode không thể cạnh tranh ở khoản này.

E. Kết luận

OVH tuy được trang bị CPU ngon hơn nhưng tốc độ SSD và tốc độ mạng quá kém. Chưa thể cạnh tranh với Vultr và Linode.

Vultr thể hiện sức mạnh vô địch trong mọi mặt: SSD nhanh, mạng khủng. Tốc độ về Vietnam ổn định và đồng đều. Cả hai VPS của Vultr ở Singapore và Linode có chất lượng tương tự nhau, chọn cái nào cũng ngon.

Linode hiện tại gặp trục trặc với kết nối mạng với vài nhà cung cấp ở VN (Viettel và FPT), nhưng nhìn chung vẫn là một nhà cung cấp chất lượng. Bạn hoàn toàn có thể tin cậy vào chất lượng của Linode. Blog Thuanbui này của mình cũng đang chạy trên Linode Tokyo.

Nếu bạn chạy site vệ tinh cần nhiều IP, OVH là sự lựa chọn tuyệt vời. Nhưng nếu bạn cần VPS mạnh mẽ để chạy site E-Commerce, Web App, Vultr và Linode thẳng tiến nhé!
